How to Draw Yamato One Piece Step by Step Tutorial
It is no doubt that the One Piece world is one of the best fictional
worlds ever created in manga or anime. And the best thing about it, which make
it so great, are the characters. One Piece has
some of the most fearsome and talented characters that we have ever seen. The
newly introduced popular character Yamato is not an exception. Let’s talk about
Yamato in this article. This article may contain some spoilers.
WHO IS YAMATO : YAMATO’S LIFE AND HISTORY
Kaidou of the Four Emperors is the father of Yamato. From
the age of a child, Yamato was groomed to be Kaidou's heir, but instead
developed a profound admiration for Kozuki Oden. In the wake of Oden's death,
Yamato decided to "become" him, imitating him and adopting his
mannerisms. Yamato referred to themselves as Kaidou's son as a result of their
desire to become Oden, and Kaidou and his crew also address them by that.
Yamato’s first appearance in the manga is in chapter 971 and in anime in
episode 972, which is very recent and short. Onigashima has been the site of Yamato's
imprisonment for most of their life because of their path that has put them at
odds with their father. While visiting Wano Country, they made friends with
Portgas D. Ace, but their Seastone shackles prevented them from fleeing the
island with him. As soon as Yamato found out about Ace's death, they waited for
his sworn brother Monkey D. Luffy's arrival, so they could join his efforts to
overthrow Kaidou and then join Luffy and his crew in the middle of a storm.
Just like Ace who tried to kill Shirohige when he was alive, Yamato had always
tried to kill their father many times but failed. That’s why they need Luffy’s
help to beat him. Yamato is indeed very strong, but they must work together
with Luffy to be able to defeat their tyrant father.
YAMATO’S
POWERS AND ABILITIES :
Being Kaidou’s child, Yamato possesses an incredible level of
physical strength, resembling that of Kaidou. They are capable of striking
Ulti, one of the Tobiroppo and an Ancient Zoan user, with just one blow with
their large and heavy kanabo. Even after he intensified his strength
exponentially with Gear Second and Gear Third, Yamato was still able to
physically match Luffy's strength with relative ease. In addition to their
phenomenal speed, Yamato is able to leap forward with blinding speed to attack
and outrun the Beast Pirates in pursuit, and ultimately escape to the attic
with Luffy without being seen.
Yamato ate a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit called Inu Inu no Mi,
Model: Okuchi no Makami, which allowed them to transform into a divine wolf or
a human-divine wolf hybrid. According to Kaidou, this beast is the “Guardian
Deity of Wano”. That Devil Fruit was a special type of fruit which Kaidou was
saving for later. However Yamato just ate it because of hunger. Thus it is
certain that Yamato has got some special powers in their hand which has even
allowed Yamato to fight directly against one of the Emperors of the Sea.
Similar to Kaidou, by using the Devil Fruit power, they can also use powerful
ice blasts which counters Kaidou’s flame blasts. There can’t be anyone more
suited to use this fruit’s power other than Yamato.
Yamato uses only one piece of equipment in battles and that is
their huge Kanabo Club. It has some resemblance to Kaidou’s club except the
fact that Yamato’s club is much thinner. Yamato can use it to knock back any
enemy or obstacle with a single strike, proving their inherent mystical
strength. Yamato has been using it since their childhood and has sharpened
their skills to the extent that they can even use it to shield themselves from
extremely fast attacks. Yamato is also proficient in the use of Busoshoku Haki,
which enables them to infuse their Kanabo with Haki before striking someone with
it. It also allows Yamato to fight against Logia Devil Fruit users without any
worry since they can be harmed only by using Haki.
WHAT IS
YAMATO’S GENDER :
Due to potentially conflicting information and conflicting
interpretations of Yamato's gender identity, there has been considerable
confusion about it. Yamato's gender has been determined by direct information
from the author, who indicates they are a female. There is a reference to
Yamato being called "the daughter of Kaidou" in both chapters 984 and
98 of the book, as well as the listing at the start of each volume. While
Yamato's gender has been unclear in some of the manga's statements, particularly
one that refers to them as Kaidou's son, certain statements have created
confusion and uncertainty. Due to Yamato’s desire to adopt Oden's identity,
Yamato refers to themselves as Kaidou's son. In addition to referring to Yamato
as Kaidou's son, Kaidou himself has also done so, as have the Beasts Pirates;
although it remains unclear why they have done so, given their relationship
with Oden and their reactions to Yamato claiming to be the legendary samurai.
Our love for Yamato, however, remains untainted, no matter their
gender. Yamato is a beautifully strong person and we wouldn’t change a single
thing about them. We consider Yamato just as great with whatever gender they
identify as.

A TUTORIAL OF HOW TO DRAW YAMATO :
STEP – 1
As for the first
step, you need to draw the basic guidelines which include a circle, a vertical
straight line and three horizontal straight lines parallel to each other. These
guidelines are going to work as the base of Yamato’s face.
STEP – 2
Now you have to draw
Yamato’s eyes and nose, using the guidelines you have already drawn in the
previous step.
STEP – 3
In this simple step,
you only have to draw Yamato’s lips.
STEP – 4
This is a relatively
complicated step where you have to draw Yamato’s long hair, the front locks and
the hair ornaments with the horns, the rest of their facial features and earrings.
STEP – 5
In this step you have
to draw Yamato’s upper body and their clothes with some details, as shown in
the picture.
STEP – 6
This step requires
you to draw the purple and white neo-dasuki behind Yamato’s back, that they
wear like Kaidou and the Kanabo club.
STEP – 7
All you have to do in
this step, is to erase the rough guidelines.
STEP – 8
